In the heat of battle the will to win is seen in the eyes of the most focused combatant.
Victory can also be measured by how one accepts defeat.
Premier barber institute (Norristown, Pa) held a day filled with educating barbers and having a display of skill we call the “barber battle” but in the case of this event it was “who’s the nicest?” hosted by nicest barbers the educational portion was held by none other than Mr. Tyrik Jackson (owner/teacher) at the premier barber institute “ I strive for the education if we aren’t learning anything new that can help us grow then we will be stuck” said Tyrik Jackson.
Barbers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York all came to see and participate in the event. The line up barber magazine had to the chance to speak with the event’s lead judge Al-uppercut
When asked what sets these smaller intimate shows from the bigger ones you’re used to? In response Al replied “it’s the networking it’s easier to get around to people and chat and really get to know everyone and you can really stay focused as a judge with not having a lot going on.”
A few vendors were in attendance but it’s main focus of the event was education and the fellowship of barbers coming together to enjoy and engage in the spirit of competition. Sitting back and looking upon what was taking place I saw young men and women filled with smiles and compliments showing the upmost respect for one another the room was just filled with love the barber love Tyrik Jackson preaches about it was definitely on full display.
Law the barber of Bethlehem, Pa stated “ this is just an amazing event that god used Tyrik as an instrument to bring us all together as brothers and sisters for the common good he makes no mistakes”
We also got a chance to speak with our good friend “made2fade” who not only took 1st place in one competition he took two we asked him how does winning two at this event stand with the others?
In reponse “ it’s a great and humbling experience to go up against some talented barbers and to come away with two trophies to take home is definitely another proud moment for me as a barber “
Barbers like handsome female barber, eddied_up, tommy of legends (610legends) , joel the hair surgeon, ebarber828, xbigwesx, the finest barbers, pa grooming specialist, the line up inc were all in attendance making their rounds speaking with other barbers the real true meaning of networking at it’s finest.
Barberly love 2 who’s the nicest is are in it’s beginning stages of what will be a long stay as the one the smallest shows yet the biggest and best way to network under one roof.
